Anne Arundel County Police Chief Kevin Davis commits to Burn Ride
Hopes police presence will ensure safety, better organization of annual event
Every year hundreds of motorcyclists ride the roads of Anne Arundel County together to raise money for young burn victims.
Anne Arundel County Police Chief Kevin Davis said next year’s event will be safer and will include a police escort. He said he will also be on hand.
“I think any large group of folks that want to engage in a charitable event, and want to do it on roadways in the county, should receive a kind commitment from Public Safety to hold the event in a safe manner,” said Davis, who joined the department more than two months ago. Continued

About Burnride 2014
On June 14th we will be mounting up at Cancun Cantina and heading across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge to Red Eyes Dock Bar – all in support of a great organization, the Mid-Atlantic Burn Camp. Hope everyone can make it out for this great ride!
The Burn Riders Association, in partnership with the Mid Atlantic Burn Camp and Anne Arundel County MD Firefighters, is made up of a group of local business people banded together to help child burn victims establish some normalcy after an accident. The Ride is a great way to give back to our community.
There are over 800 Firefighters, Firefighter/EMT-Intermediates, Firefighter/Paramedics, Lieutenants, and Captains that staff the 31 fire stations throughout AA County, as well as dispatchers, fire marshals, academy training staff, and many others.
With the help of our sponsors, donations, and in-kind gifts from our riders and participants, we have been able to donate tens of thousands of dollars to a worthy cause that helps children.
