About Burnride 2014
On June 14th we will be mounting up at Anne Arundel Community College (Lot F). This lot is conveniently located on West Campus Drive adjacent to Governor Ritchie Highway (Route 2) in Arnold Maryland. See map.
From the Arnold Campus, riders will head across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge to Mears Point Marina – all in support of the Fire Fighters Burn Foundation, Hospice of the Chesapeake, and the Make a Wish Foundation. Our law enforcement partners will manage traffic along the route so that riders may enjoy the day without the risk of conflicting traffic. Hope everyone can make it out for this great ride! Burn Riders Association
The Burn Riders Association, in partnership with the Mid Atlantic Burn Camp and Anne Arundel County MD Firefighters, is made up of a group of local business people banded together to help child burn victims establish some normalcy after an accident. The Ride is a great way to give back to our community.
There are over 800 Firefighters, Firefighter/EMT-Intermediates, Firefighter/Paramedics, Lieutenants, and Captains that staff the 31 fire stations throughout AA County, as well as dispatchers, fire marshals, academy training staff, and many others.
With the help of our sponsors, donations, and in-kind gifts from our riders and participants, we have been able to donate tens of thousands of dollars to a worthy cause.
Why We Ride
Over 280,000 American children are burned every year. Burns are incredibly painful and require specialized care. The Burn Ride helps heal children in our community. Your support really makes a difference.
